Who are we looking for?
UTS Motorsports Electric team members Criteria:
- Can dedicate yourself to a task
- No experience necessary – We will teach you everything you need to know
- Committed to getting the car ready to race
- A can-do attitude
⚡ Design and manufacture HV and LV components
⚡ PCB design using Altium
⚡ Research on battery cells
🔧 Mechanical design of components such as the chassis, suspension, pedal box and steering
🔧Using software such as Solidworks to model designs
🔧 Manual and CNC lathe and mill operation
🔧 Composites work
📈 Manufacturing cost analysis, budgeting and procurement
📈 Managing sponsorship
📈 Social media, newsletter, website management and content marketing
📈 Organising promotional events
📈 Recruitment and Project Management
Who We Are…
Being part of the team means you’ll be working with motivated, like-minded UTS students who are all wanting to make the most of their university experience.
We’re a friendly bunch and beauty is we’re all working towards the same goal. You will collaborate with the team daily and there’s no experience necessary as you will be trained on tasks as you go.
We generally do not take first-year students in their first semester however if you’ve had previous industry or trade experience then we want to hear from you!
As long as you participate with an open mindset, take initiative and are ready to learn, you’re welcome with open arms!
During the year you’ll also participate in track testing days, and at the end of the year can come along to the Competition in Benalla (with a few social events in between)
As a UTS: Motorsports Electric team member, you gain access to our workshop and range of manufacturing tools.
