Who We Are…

Being part of the team means you’ll be working with motivated, like-minded UTS students who are all wanting to make the most of their university experience.

We’re a friendly bunch and beauty is we’re all working towards the same goal. You will collaborate with the team daily and there’s no experience necessary as you will be trained on tasks as you go.

We generally do not take first-year students in their first semester however if you’ve had previous industry or trade experience then we want to hear from you!

As long as you participate with an open mindset, take initiative and are ready to learn, you’re welcome with open arms!

During the year you’ll also participate in track testing days, and at the end of the year can come along to the Competition in Benalla (with a few social events in between)

The Workshop…

As a UTS: Motorsports Electric team member, you gain access to our workshop and range of manufacturing tools.

You’ll also get the opportunity to learn from experienced UTS machinists and academics.

Our workshop has all the tools and software needed to both design and build the car.

We also provide you with personal protective gear (PPE) and relevant safety inductions to keep you safe around the tools and machinery!
